Did I feel you move?????

Last night, I woke up past midnight and lay awake in bed for a couple of hours. As I was trying to get myself to sleep again, I felt a strange ripple across my stomache. At first I thought the bed was moving, but I was lying perfectly still and Jonas was in another room studying. I waited and then it did it again! I flipped onto my back and lay there for a while longer, but that rippling never returned.

Am I crazy or did I feel our baby move??? The first thing I did this morning was google it, and now I am not sure at all! It didn't really have that 'flutter' feeling or 'bubbly' feeling that is so often described. It literally felt like just ripples or waves going through my stomache that didn't last long. And then I thought that it was much too early in pregnancy to even be feeling any movement? So now I am convinved that maybe this was a false alarm, and perhaps this was all my imagination in my half-sleepy stage.

  1. I vote that you felt it. Especially if you were that still and there was no other explanation. Hooray - xoxoxo.

  2. Dear Wendy,
I remember the ripple sensation...when I was pregnant, not sure if it was baby Jonas or Cara moving or what, funny that I never questioned, maybe there was no internet or blog.
It would be so interesting to show your blog to your child when s/he knows how to read...
    Mom.

  3. I agree--super cool to keep this blog for your child to read eventually. What a special keepsake! I always knew Jonas had a wise mama. . .
