Settling In

The last week has been great, as we have been settling in. It's been wonderful to have our life back, so to speak. We've been taking our time unpacking, and basically spent the last week trying to relax and recharge our batteries. We've taken several walks in our new 'hood', and can't wait to try all the new restaurants that are so close by. In fact, I'm worried now that we live too close to many temptations, especially for me. We live close to a cupcake place, Tim Horton's, True Confections, Bon Ton's bakery and lots more bakeries. Very tempting indeed. In fact, I insisted we celebrate Royal Wedding week with a big, delicious slice of devil's food cake from True Confections. I'll make any excuse I can to get a big slice of cake, and not feel guilty about it.

We also live three blocks away from a beautiful park/playground, which is where we spent the day with Griffin yesterday. Unfortunately, I found our camera but still haven't located the USB cord. I must load pictures as soon as we locate it.

Today, I am off with Linda for our pre Mother's Day pedicure. Since we are both busy next weekend, we decided to give ourselves a treat today. Luckily, we have fantastic husbands that will be looking after our babes while we beautify our toes.

Griffin is slowly settling in. I think he has had to adjust and transition, but is slowly getting used to our place. He does seem to like it a lot, but he's been a bit difficult to settle down at night. This could also be due to his tooth erupting. I thought both of his two top teeth had erupted, but it was only the one. The other tooth is still on the verge of making its appearance any day now.

In any case, I think he loves his bedroom and he loves standing on our couch (with me supporting him) and staring out our big living room window, watching the cars go by. I feel that he is developing so much more quickly now, that I can imagine him running around here soon.

  2. Dear Wendy,
Can't wait to see the photos as I am still showing Griffin's photos when he was a week before 6 months old!
Also can't wait to see the little family in the new apartment...
    Love,
    Mom
