The weather in Vancouver this weekend finally turned spring-like. I decided that Jonas needed a much deserved break from all his hard work and studying, so I took him out to dinner. We went to our favorite Thai restaurant near the water, and had a very small feast.
We had beef with red curry, pad thai, spicy green beans, prawns in a yellow coconut curry sauce and jasmine rice. Even though my mother warned me not to eat seafood, I had to sneak the prawns in because I had been craving them for so long. This meal was the BEST food I had tasted in a long, long time. In fact. for the past 2 days, all food has tasted really good so I am hoping that I am breaking free of my food aversions.
It was a wonderful evening. Very relaxed and romantic with an amazing view of the water and the boats. Jonas has been working so hard lately, that he deserved every minute of it.
OMG, YUMMY. Just seeing you two here in this photo melts my heart -- I wish we lived closer so I could hug you both right now. I'm so glad you got some time out to enjoy yourselves/have a date/romantic time.
ReplyDeleteYou look wonderful, Wendy! It sounds like you and Jonas had a great time, and I'm glad to hear that you're back on food. You did all the spicy stuff, yes?
ReplyDeleteMiss you. xoxo
