Cribs and such.....

I can't believe how quickly time is flying by......almost too quickly now! I have a whole checklist of things to do, and am slowly chipping away at them, one by one. Although I know that I still have quite a bit of time left, the Type A in me is starting to panic a wee bit about not having any baby stuff yet, aside from some wonderful baby clothes that were given to me by Linda. My mind has started thinking about cribs, car seats, and strollers and what KIND of stroller do we want. It's seriously like buying a car, and I will need to sit down with Jonas to discuss which one will best suit our lifestyle. Thank goodness I have my mentor Linda, who has been there, done this all before. After my conversation with her this weekend, she was able to provide me with some good insight and advice on what I will need, and where we should go buy them from. There are also many other questions raised......will we stay living where we are? Or will we move to be closer to my family? Many things to consider, but at least for the first 3 months, we will not have to worry about setting up a nursery. We have already decided that the baby will sleep in a crib in our room for that very first period, before graduating to their own room :) We also need to start researching more baby names. We have a couple picked out, but we have not actually researched any different ones, and surely, with all the names in this world, there may be a few more that we come up with. Anyways, just thinking aloud but at the end of the day, I know there is still tons of time and no need to have a panic attack just quite yet.

  1. Dear Wendy,
I tried to post while I was away in Baltimore with my Blackberry but no luck. Awhile back, I did send some info to Jonas' email re: stroller, provided to me by a new mom. Did he get it? Hmmm...baby clothes, I just bought a few for our future grandchild. Six outfits from newborn, 3; 6; 9; 12 months and a very cute cardigan when s/he a year and a half. These outfits are very adorable and in neutral colours of beige, green, light brown and yellow, etc. Can't wait to give them to you. Dad went to a banquet celebrating a two year old birthday and a two month old baby of my staff/friend this past Sat. and said that made him look forward to be a grandpa.
    Love,
    Mom.

  2. Hi mom,
Thanks so much for the wonderful baby outfits! That is so generous! We can't wait to see them, and of course, see baby in them. Yes, time is flying by and before you know it, you and dad will be first time grandparents :)
