We offically got the ok from our doctor to start Griffin on REAL food! Well, it will have to be rice cereal for a while, but nevertheless, this is HUGE NEWS FOR US. To say we are excited is an understatement. Although we suspected for a while that Griffin would soon be eating with us, we wanted to make sure it was ok. And we kept hearing all the warnings about how babies should wait till they are 6 months old etc etc. But our doctor said the rice cereal is fine, and we can even start him on purees in a few weeks. I will probably wait until he is officially 5 momths old before I start doing that.
This news comes on the heels of an otherwise rough couple of days. It is definitely a bright spot. Besides getting the news about Griffin being able to eat, we also discovered that he is starting his teething. After what I have been through the past couple of days, I said to the doctor 'What do you mean STARTING? You mean it's going to get worse than it has been???' Yes, there has been a return of sleepless nights for me, increased fussiness, and carrying Griffin around all day long for comfort. Although my doctor says he is starting his teething, I suspected this for quite a while now. Pretty soon, he will be chewing on steaks!
We also got his four month immunization shots. Our next ones will be at six months. Six months. I can't believe it. He will be HALF A YEAR OLD by that time!

Our babies are teething at the same time! Arden cut her first tooth today. We should call each other in the middle of the night since we're both up!
