Yesterday, we took a trip to the mall and spent the whole afternoon there. We were so hoping that we could get a picture of Griffin with Santa, but it was just not meant to be. When we arrived, Griffin was awake for about an hour, but good 'ol Santa was taking a break. Then when Santa came back, of course Griffin was sleeping. The fact that Griffin was even awake for one hour and looking around was a very big deal for us. Anybody that has met Griffin knows that he is always asleep, whenever he is outside the home. That is one of the reasons we have so few pictures of him outside. And also one of the reasons that we still do not have a proper family picture of the three of us!
It may still be too early to tell, but little glimpses into Griffin's personality are starting to emerge. He seems happiest at home, a real homebody. However, he still loves his stroller and car seat, but I think it lulls him to sleep more than anything. He is very cautious and tentative of new people, places and things. It takes a while for him to warm up to these things, and we have to introduce him to all of it very slowly. I am sure that the older he gets, he will stay more awake for these outings.
