Wow, this is a first. Jonas and I are sitting on two separate computers right now, with Griffin sleeping beside us. AND we are eating dinner in silence! Both of us at the same time! This is basically the only time this past week that I have been able to catch up on my blog. The days fly by, even though I sleep less. In fact, I can't believe how quickly the day goes by. It is so hard to get everything done! When I was at work, I always used to think that people on maternity leave must have a luxerious time at home and get to spend loads of time on their hobbies. What a joke on me! I really shouldn't complain though. The weather in Vancouver has been amazing. Real Indian summer. I try to get Griffin out to enjoy the day for at least an hour. We go on all these amazing walks together. We walk mostly in our area, and last Sunday, we ventured out to the Applefest at UBC. Then yesterday, we took a long walk on Jericho Beach. Even though he is always asleep during these outings, Jonas insists that he probably enjoys it. And I do believe him because Griffin always has this serene, peaceful expression on his face whenever we are out.
Today we took him to the dr for his monthly checkup. Our little guy is practically not little anymore! He is already a whopping 9 lbs, and doing marvelously. His face is fuller, and I am a bit sad that my little man is getting bigger in size. He is already starting to feel too heavy for me to carry. (I know, I've really got to work my arms out again.) But he is not too big to be wearing some of the wonderful baby outfits he got as gifts. Here is a picture of him wearing one of his latest ones, taken over the weekend at a baby shower that our friends threw for us. Unfortunately, he is in his car seat and you can't see the cute little pants that have raccoon feet on them as well! But he looked adorable. Thank you Auntie Tab, Uncle Amir and Baby Arden for this CUTE CUTE CUTE outfit!!!!
I can't believe he's already 9lbs! Oh my goodness, he's going to bypass Arden in no time. Way to grow, little Griffin! He looks so precious in that outfit...but then, he would look precious in anything. xo
ReplyDeleteMy goodness!! He looks SO much more grown-up! It's amazing how they change in only a few weeks...and enjoy those walks...those are some of my fondest memories of the early days...those long walks where she would be lulled to sleep by the movement of the stroller. Precious times...
ReplyDeleteDear Wendy,
ReplyDeleteWe have not seen Griffin since last Friday, and how he has grown. Yes, treasure those times spent, in no time, he would be running and jumping around. Would it be easier then, or having him in your arms now ☺ ?!
Can't wait to see him at Christmas...
Love,
Mom.
