Happy Anniversary

Yesterday, August 23rd, marked the first year wedding anniversary for Jonas and I. We both took the day off so we could spend it together. We went to Jericho Beach and had lunch on the patio at the sailing club, and then took a long walk on the beach. The weather was sunny and beautiful, and it was so nice to hang out at the beach on a Monday where it was not crowded at all. After lunch, we decided to head up to 4th Avenue to walk around, and just do some window shopping. Then we headed home to nap (well for me to nap), and then we went out to dinner. Our original plan was to go back to the golf course where we got married, and have dinner there. But both of us had a yankering for Indian food, so we ended up eating that instead.

It was a perfect day, and we spent a lot of time talking and reminiscing about our relationship. Jonas asked me if four years ago, did I ever think I would be married with a baby on the way? Of course my answer was, no! I had never even entertained the idea. I think we were both happy with our lives back then, meeting our team and establishing new friendships. Anything that came afterwards was definitely an unexpected surprise and bonus and was obviously meant to be.

It shocked me that our anniversary came so quickly. Time really did fly by in a blink of an eye, but I think it always does when you are at your happiest in life and in such a good place. I have absolutely loved being married to Jonas, and could not imagine a better life partner. I am looking forward to many, many more years of happiness!
