It seems that these entries are becoming few and far between. Since you started walking (and in my opinion, the biggest milestone of your early life to date), we've been video-taping you like crazy. Since we've been documenting your life on the 'small screen', I haven't felt the need to blog as much. We'll see how much longer this blog goes on for in 2012. You still have many more milestones to come that I am sure we will want to record somewhere.
And speaking of 2012........I can't believe we are saying good-bye to yet another year. When I look back at this past Christmas, it astonishes me. Last year, you were a mere bundle in my arms. This year, you opened your presents and appreciated them! You still don't know what Christmas is, but you definitely got the hang of the whole 'opening presents' thing. Next year, I vow to have you stand next to me in the kitchen on your own little stool to help me bake some cookies.
It was a wonderful Christmas, and a wonderful year. We survived many things together, and now you are absolutely thriving. We said good-bye to formula, waking up every hour and a half, rocking to sleep, your beginner car seat, and crawling. Instead, we said hello to homogenized milk, solid foods, big-boy car seat, sleeping through the night (God bless you!), and walking.
2012 marks a new year in our lives, and I can't wait to see how it unfolds. Thank you Griffin, for being a part of our lives. And for making everybody around us happy in your prescence.
